What are the symptoms of a bed bug bite? Okay on rising after a good night's sleep you might experience a raised rash throughout your body as well as itching. These are the most common bed bug bite symptoms.

Prior to we cover the symptoms let's consider what the symptoms of bed bugs. These are tiny oval insects that do not fly and are members of the insect family group Cimicidae. They get flat bodies measuring roughly 5 to 7 mm and are a brown orange tint. These insects prefer mattresses and sofas as its habitat therefore the name bed bug.

You may have read horror stories of bed bugs in hotels. The mattresses are where they stay expecting their victim. There are parasites and feed by sucking the blood of animals and humans and are nocturnal insects. A bite from a bed bug is far itchier compared to a mosquito bite and would only be felt at least an hour after being bitten.

Bed bugs have an anesthetic in their saliva and they are able to suck blood without interruption that ultimately prevents the clotting of the blood. Bed bug bite signs are commonly elevated rashes and found about an hour following the bite. Few people can respond after a couple of days and some several weeks, it will all rest on the body's response to the toxins in the saliva of the bed bug.

Bed bug bite symptoms may manifest as a red circular bump and swells more than a mosquito bite. It takes time for the rash to spread over the body. When these symptoms are noted then you definitely know you have been bitten by bed bugs.

People that move around in their sleep are more prone to been bitten. There are people that may even experience allergic reactions, and in some instances although atypical bed bug bites may result in anaphylaxis. Should this happen seek medical care immediately.
