When you till your ground for your garden quite often, you will want to consider getting the Earthwise TC70001 11-Inch 8-1/2 Amp Electric Tiller/Cultivator. It is electric powered, which means you don't have to tolerate the gas fumes or the loud noise. It possesses a cutting width of 11 inches and tilling depth of 8 1/2 inches, which will be just the right dimensions for most gardens.

Though it has been experiencing great reviews, many people are surprised at how well it works. It is rather uncomplicated to implement, and different people have different solutions on how to keep the electric cord out-of-the-way. Typically the tiller is lightweight and therefore easy to transfer from place to place. Additionally, being so lightweight, will make it bounce around quite a bit on the hard ground. It is important to realize that inexpensive, lightweight and electric tillers do not compare well to the more expensive, heavy-duty and gas-powered tillers.

A few of the evaluators found the best way for it to operate, was to let the tiller pull itself forward, and then drag it back. As a result, the tines are going to have a chance to dig to the maximum capacity but due to the lightweight, if it hits rocks or roots, the tiller will jump a lot. It is advised that you use eye protection since dirt and small rocks will go into your face. Crab grass could be the biggest issue with this tiller since it is likely to get the tiller clogged. To remove the crab grass from the tines, you might need box cutters though you need to be careful considering that the gearbox may have overheated. Doing it takes time to get rid of the debris from the tines.

Based on the area having to be tilled, it is going to take a while, if you need to stop to clear roots and grass out of the tines. Also, due to all of the jarring you receive with the tiller jumping all over the place, when being used on hard ground, you may end up bruised and battered. It can be a different story in a flower bed, where tilling topsoil goes rather easily and quickly. It might be best to use the electric tiller for a current garden while getting a more powerful tiller for new areas that you want to work on.

When you've got a prosperous garden and want something to help keep up with the soil, then the Earthwise TC70001 11-Inch 8-1/2 Amp Electric Tiller/Cultivator is a good option. So long as you take some time, and don't expect more out of this machine than you should, it will do the job for you and make your gardening more pleasurable.
